Eat regularly

If you eat regularly you will have a body more capable of burning fat. Eating infrequently means that when you do eat you will be more likely to over-eat and your body will be more likely to store fat.

Eat your last meal early

Leaving at least two hours between your last meal and going to bed will help your body to burn fat. When you are sleeping your body is not in a fat burning mode so the closer you eat to the time you go to bed the more likely it is you'll store fat.
