The hardest part of weight control is to get started

The most important step to control your weight is to get started. It doesn't matter what size you are in, you can always lead an active life. Being active is all what it takes to start controlling your weight.

If you find it extremely hard to get up and be active, think about your barriers. Then try to come up with creative ways to solve the problem. For example, if you're too busy or too tired, plan just 10 minutes of dedicated time to walk around or do errands. Even just clean the house.

If you feel self conscious to work out, then join a group of friends and take walks. Start being active inside of your home. Clean the bathrooms, kitchen counters. All these activities keep you active. The worst thing you can do is to sit whole day long.

Remember if you have health issues and are obese, talk to your doctor what kind of activity you can handle safely. Always warm up and start slowly.
